Birthday Wishes & Guest Hosts

Great Show today, in my own opinion at least. Although, I suppose I am the controller of the media on this blog so I can make that a fact. Fact: Great Show Today.

It was Katie's birthday. That's exciting. She is twenty years old, that like two decades of life. Unfortunately, she was not in the studio, but on a train back from her land of Allentown. She was interviewing all weekend for jobs with the local government and local media, as well as creating her own civil society organization. Good for her. This does mean, however that Katie is in fact going home for the summer. TDR Jams will be down a DJ.

That statement has good news and bad news to it. Obviously, the bad news is Katie is going away. The good news is that TDR Jams is not. Next week will be the last show of the semester and then a few week hiatus, but then TDR Jams will be back for the summer. I am very excited to continue the show throughout the summer and looking forward to experimenting with some new things in the studio. Also with any luck, the show will have a better time slot than Monday mornings.

Finally, thanks to Gabby for guest hosting today. She had a good time from what I presume, and she got to play a bloc of music too. Thanks Gabby, and we at TDR Jams hope you remain an avid listener and fan.

Close The Studio, You're Letting The Monday In

Today I made a mistake and then I played bad music (according to Nick) but it all turned out ok because I am officially awake! It is the morning and I am functioning!

How great is that?

Maybe I'll go back to bed now.

Yeah, that sounds good.

A Case Of The Mondays

Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick, what is Nick doing? He's dancing in his seat. No, he stood up now. "It's this Somali dude!" he shouts at me over the noise that isn't there in the studio (he's listening to the headphones). We're playing House Of Cards by Radiohead and Nick is turning all hip-hop in the corner there. Sheesh. I just realized that T-Pain was in my dream last night. He didn't really do anything. It was just "Katie's Dream (ft. T-Pain)" or something. I had to wash my hands a lot and sometimes I used too much soap and sometimes the water was cold. I washed my hands, like, thirty times in my dream last night. What does that say about me? And what does it say about me if I'm watching YouTube in my dreams? What's that? I can't hear you. Oh, I remember why. I have this little thing that I can't hear people who are telling me bad things about myself. Sorry. That's just the way it goes.

Wow, I wish it weren't Monday. I guess I also wish that I didn't have to go to the gym right after this.

The easiest way to pick me out of the crowd is to look for the girl who is shaking her fist at the sun.
