Tonight really was a special treat at TDR. The wonderful chefs behind the Terrace Dining Room treated us lucky American University students to a fantastic dinner of some real "soul food." Many people question some of the meals that TDR supplies us students, but if there is one thing that TDR can do right, it is fried chicken, and corn bread. By far my favorite meal of the year so far, the dessert of cobbler and ice cream really was icing on the... cobbler, i suppose.
This delicious meal came on top of a very good musical experience at lunch today with Part-time Lover by Stevie Wonder being the highlight of what came out of TDR's oh so sacred speaker system.
The meal today reminded me a lot of the legendary fried chicken that they served last year at Tenley Cafe on Martin Luther King Day, a meal that goes down in Bon Appetit folklore.
I think that the employees of TDR deserve a special thanks after a great meal tonight. Lets hope they keep the good food and good music coming!
