best. animal. EVER.
Faithful readers and listeners! I bear good news! Much of it!
ONE - We had a successful show on Monday, and I even played what little R&B I have (I need a good long lesson in R&B and how to differentiate between "good" and "bad" songs and who is famous for what and so on and so forth) and Nick played an Indie set and it all went off without a hitch.
TWO - FUN FACT: there will be a show on 4/20 AND my birthday! What fortune! I will take my birthday as an opportunity to totally commandeer the studio from Nick and play my favorite songs. Be prepared, you will hear at least one Bright Eyes song.
THREE - I have decided what I want to do when I grow up and what I want to do is be an otter. Like, not dress up like an otter, but actually magically turn into an otter. Like, I want to be one of those freshwater otters at the zoo. I have even found a list of phrases that will help me if I were to become a Spanish-speaking otter. I think otters are the happiest animals. Except that they mourn their dead. But that is OK, too, I want to be an otter with a heart. "Otters That Care" will be the plaque outside my exhibit at the zoo and I will do all sorts of cute things with my otter abilities.
The otter phrases:
Hello. -- Hola.
Nice to meet you. -- Mucho Gusto.
What is your name? -- ¿Como te llamas?
My name is... -- Me llamo...
I am a saltwater otter. -- Soy una nutria de la agua salada.
I am a freshwater otter. -- Soy una nutria de agua dulce.
Which way to the water? -- ¿Dónde está el agua?
Is the water cold today? -- ¿Es el agua fr#a hoy?
Those rocks are slippery. -- Esas rocas son deslizadizas.
Your musk smells lovely. -- Su almizcle huele encantador.
How old is your pup? -- ¿Cómo vieja es su nutria infantil?
That tickles my whiskers. -- Ese cosquillas mis barbas.
This kelp is delicious. -- Este quelpo es delicioso.
Goodbye. -- Adios.
