Recent Happenings of TDR (and its Jams)

Hey Everybody!

I hope you listened yesterday, but if you didn't you missed a great show. The play list is below so you can check that out. Of course, only listening to the play list means you miss out on the personalities and the snafus (did I just use that word?) that make a live radio show so magical. We took a few pictures and we will post them, as well as some photos from M Ward as soon as we defeat the Blogger Slideshow Gadget Monster. We had a few requests this week and it was good to have a little help choosing the music, so keep the requests rolling in. We also were graced with a guest host this week. Dan Lincoln took time off from his sleep and macroeconomics class to come hang out at the studio for an hour. He even took the time to stop by TDR so he could report on the wonderful eggs they served Monday morning.

On the TDR note, I sincerely hope that everyone got the oppurtunity to enjoy Mardi Gras celebrations there this evening. The employees really get in the spirit for the special occasions at TDR and tonight was no exception. Employees were cheerfully milling about decked out in beads and masks. The food was also spectacular. I understand that a sizeable percentage of our small readership as well as about 50% of our writing staff are vegetarians, but TDR again made some fantastic fried chicken. This on top of tasty biscuits, some kind of punch, and what I am told was "King Cake" made for a great meal. We were a bit forgetful about mentioning the TDR menu highlights for the week yesterday, but we will try to keep you updated on the tastiest foods to come.

We also dropped some philosophical words of wisdom yesterday from two very wise but very different people. The Dalai Lama compared the lives of insects to humans and found that while being human is pretty cool, "insects are innocent and free from guile, whereas we often lie and misrepresent ourselves..." Sassy Chef provided the wisdom that "What other people think of me is none of my business." Quick thanks to those two.

Alright, well I will say the rambling for another time, but be sure to keep checking out the blog and tune in between 8 and 10 next Monday for the third edition of TDR Jams.
